Glenna Henson

Glenna Miller Henson, age 82, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012, at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Alvin A. and Margaret E. Childers Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vennoy Luther Henson, who died in 1998, and a son, Vennoy Luther "Chip" Henson, who died in 2008. Glenna was employed by American Enka and was a very active member of High Street Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Kay Henson of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Christopher Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to High Street Baptist Church, 73 High Street, Canton, NC 28716.
