Candler, Gloria May Braunsdorf Wilcox, age 76, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native of New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Gloria Camm Braunsdorf. Born in New York in 1947 to William and May Braunsdorf. In addition to her parents, Glo was preceded in death by one son, Jason Wilcox and a brother, Bill Braunsdorf. She spent many years in Florida and enjoyed being outside cherishing the sunshine. One of her favorite pastimes was creating all types of art, from painting, to stained glass, to tie-dying shirts with the grandkids.
She is survived by daughters Camerine “Cammy” Wilcox and Korey Carter (James), son Dairen Wilcox (Shandy), and grandchildren Trevor, Emily, Rory, Logan, Cohen, Nova, and Declan. Nothing was more important to Gloria than her family and her favorite role was that of being grandma Glo. She loved spending time with and spoiling her grandkids every chance she got. Glo especially enjoyed giving them treats when their parents weren’t looking.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024, in the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Candler. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
