Grace Cooper

Canton - Grace West Cooper, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Maggie Valley Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late John Marvin and Edna Reno West. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover W. Cooper, who died in 1980. Grace was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She is survived by a brother, John Marvin West, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Darrell Webb and the Reverend Jonathan Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Canton Baptist Church, 75 Lowe Street, Canton, NC 28716.
