Grace Greene

Grace Hall Greene, age 94, died on Monday, February 14, 2011, at Hillside Nursing Center in Wake Forest. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late John Lawrence and Edith Overman Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Greene, who died in 1979; two daughters, Darris Greene and Linda Buchanan; and a grandson, Wesley Buchanan. She was a member of West Canton Baptist Church. She is survived by a granddaughter, Kathy Conant and her husband, William, of Wake Forest; two great-grandchildren, Grace and John Conant; and several special nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Old Thickety Cemetery with the Reverend Wallace Britt and Reverend W. O. "Bill" Henson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
