Grace Noland

Waynesville, Grace Marguerite Jones Noland, age 99, died on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Zack and Eva Walker Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Randolph Noland who died in 1975; two brothers, Wendell and Lawrence Jones and two sisters, Alice Ferguson and Mabel Jackson. Marguerite retired from Haywood County Schools as a cafeteria manager at Crabtree Ironduff School with 36 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. She is survived by a son, Harry E. Noland of Charleston, SC; daughter, Dot N. Sutton of Waynesville; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. At her request there are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville Building Fund, P.O. Box 838, Waynesville, NC 28786.
