Grace Plott

Grace Tallent Plott, age 92, died on Saturday, April 07, 2012 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Macon County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Fannie Campbell Tallent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Linwood Plott, who died in 2001; two sisters, Mary Guyer and Irene T. Willis; and two brothers, Claude and Joe Tallent. Grace was a former employee of Champion International and was a member of Canton Central United Methodist Church where she served as a past treasurer of the church. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, the American Cancer Society, and Relay for Life. Grace enjoyed cooking and working in her flower garden. She is survived by a loving sister-in-law, Doris Plott; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; and several great-great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Christy officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
