Grace Reece

GRACE S. REECE Canton, Grace Shetley Reece, age 67, of Poplar Branch Lane, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Brian Center. A native of Union, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Eligah and Viola Sanders Shetley and was also preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Shetley and a grandson, Timothy Ty Reece. Grace loved being with her family and enjoyed reading, working word-search puzzles, and playing bingo. She attended Laurel Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Troy V. Reece; one son, Wayne Reece of Canton; three daughters, Janice Reece and Nancy Yurko (Peter), all of Waynesville and Linda Campbell of Canton; two sisters, Judy Cooksey (Fred) of Union, South Carolina, Mary Duckett (Gene) of Cowpens, South Carolina, and Sue Lovelace of Mauldin, South Carolina; two brothers, Jim Shetley (Betty), and Ronnie Shetley (Lisa) of Union, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Daniel, Jasmine, and Tyler Reece and Jason, Glenn, and Ricky Campbell; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Kilby and Reverend Gary Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Burnette Siding Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Reece, Daniel P. Reece, David Reece, Sr., David Reece, Jr., Sam Reece, Nathan Burnette, Scott Oates, David and John Goodson, and John Mintz. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
