Grace Reed

Waynesville-Grace Reed, age 80, of Crooked Fork Lane, died Monday, August 18, 2003 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Hedding, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Leah Hay Wainwright. She was a former resident of Florida and had resided in Haywood County for the past ten years. She was a retired CPA secretary and worked as volunteer driving ambulances at Fort Dix Army Base during World War II. She enjoyed woodcarving, sewing, and flowers and was a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joseph D. Reed; one son, Craig George Reed of Templeton, California; and two sisters, Ruth Lippencott and Retta Carty, both of Columbus, New Jersey.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Hedding, New Jersey.
