Grace Severt

January 16, 1915 — April 8, 2005

Clyde- Grace Earls Hardin Severt of 69 Hardin Lane died Friday, April 08, 2005 at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home in Candler. She was a native of Swain County but was a former resident of New York for 20 years. She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Selma Winners Earls and a member of Woodland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sons; Larry, Roger and Anthony Hardin; one step-son, Bobby Hardin; one step-daughter, Hallie Dixon; two grandsons, Charlie and Alex Hardin; one great-grandson, Jarrod Hardin; one brother, C.B. Earls and one sister, Norma Earls Johnson. She is survived by one son; Earl J. Hardin and his wife Jo of Canton; three daughters-in-law, Ella and Sherrie Hardin of Clyde and Mary Lee Hardin of Zephyr Hills, Fl; one brother, Elzie Earls and one sister, Clara Mae Earls Rawley both of Fairland, OK; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, April 11, 2005 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Allen Davis and Reverend Heath Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Canton. The family requests that memorials be made to Mountain Area Hospice, 85 Zillicoa Street, Asheville, NC 28801.
