Grace Sutton

Clyde, Grace Laura Trantham Sutton, age 82 passed away, Friday, March 22, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Madison Co, NC, and was the daughter of the late Vestal and Oma Plemmons Darnell. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Dean Trantham in 1966 and her 2nd husband, Earl Sutton in 1995, her sisters: Olive Gentry, Girtha Massey, Faye Massey, Hazel Waddell, Marie Trantham, Tella Seaton, Helen Wilett and Wilma Gentry, and brother, Kester Darnell. Grace lived a simple life. She loved her church, her family and her garden. She is survived by two step-daughters, Jackie Worley and her husband Gary and Jerrie Smith, all of Clyde; two step-sons, Bruce Sutton and his wife Karen of Clyde; Martin Sutton and his wife Sarah of Cookeville, TN; 9 step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Reverend Greg Warren will officiate. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
