Gracie Tilley

Gracie Jane Tilley, age 10, of 217 Howell Road passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at her home. She was preceded in death by an uncle, James "Bo" Rhea; great-grandmother, Evelyn Tilley; great aunt, Sharon "Sissy" Cordell, and great grandfather, Jack Blalock. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Gracie was currently a fifth grade student at Meadowbrook Elementary School and played softball in the Canton Little League. Gracie loved her family very much, just as she was so loved in return. Other loves of Gracie's were singing, dancing, and playing video games with her dad. She is survived by her parents, Jason and Cary Rhea Tilley; paternal grandfather, Doug Tilley and his wife, Carolynn of Charmco, West VA; paternal grandmother, Keitha Blalock of Asheville; maternal grandparents, Jim and Freddie Jane Rhea of Canton; paternal great-grandfather, Spencer Tilley and his wife, Shirley, of Clyde; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Blalock of Canton; four aunts; four uncles; 14 cousins, all of whom she loved to play with; and her beloved miniature dachshund, "Cookie". Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Sunny Point Baptist Church with Pastor James Roberts and Reverend Keith Clark officiating. Burial will follow Sunny Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is in charge of arrangements.
