Grady Taylor

Candler – Grady Lane Taylor, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Mission Hospitals – Memorial Campus. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Fred Ellis and Joyce Griffin Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lane and Mattie Taylor and his maternal grandparents, Devrow and Virginia Griffin. Grady was a man who loved the outdoors and cherished his time in the streams fishing for trout. Grady also enjoyed his collection of hummingbird figurines. He was the rock of his family and will forever be remembered as a caring husband, father and Papaw. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Taylor; a daughter, Kayla Taylor and boyfriend, Charles Black of Candler; two brothers, Gregory Taylor and Lucas Taylor and his wife, Jeanette, all of Candler; a granddaughter, Kinsley Black; several nieces and nephews; and many of his close friends and co-workers at Evergreen Packaging. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday March 19, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
