Harold Metcalf

Harold R. Metcalf, 83, of Candler, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014. A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late James and Annie Lee Rumbough Metcalf. He retired from Rainbow Baking Company after 38 years and loved Bass fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Smith Metcalf and several siblings
He is survived by his children, Larry (Iva Jean) Metcalf, Linda Metcalf, Sandra DeBruhl and Sherry (Gerry) Dias; 8 granddaughters; 1 grandson; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson and special friend, Ruby Arrington.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, April 5th at Mount Moriah Wesleyan Church, Candler with Pastor Worth Emory officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends on Friday (today) from 6-8PM at Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church. At other times, the family will be at the Dias home, 21 St. Matthew Drive, Candler.
