Harold Penticoff

October 24, 1926 — June 12, 2011

Clyde, Harold Lloyd Penticoff, age 84, of Creekmont Drive, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011. A native of Freeport, Illinois, he was the son of the late Lloyd David and Mildred Koym Penticoff and was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggie C. Penticoff, who died in 2007; two sisters; and two brothers. A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was a deputy for the Clay County Sheriff's Department until his retirement in 1978. Harold served on the Board of Directors for the Fines Creek Fire Department and was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by one sister, Helen Stake, of Yulee, Florida; and several nieces and nephews including Susie King (John) of Starke, Florida and Jerry Hillis (Sandra), of Pooler, Georgia. He will also be missed by friends and neighbors in his community. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Dorothy B. Thomas officiating.
