Harold Tollefson

Waynesville-Harold Oscar Tollefson, age 90, of 628 Park Place, Nacogdoches, Texas, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, he had lived most of his life in Neenah, Wisconsin. He currently resided with his sons at their respective homes. He was the son of the late Oscar and Lucy Saxe Tollefson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Margaret Hansen Tollefson and his second wife of 10 years, Edna Boor; and two sisters, Grace Mann and Jeanette Schmoisch. He was a barber for 47 years before his retirement. He was an avid wood carver and attended Bethel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Harold Tollefson and his wife, Carolyn, of Nacodoches, Texas and Gary G. Tollefson and his wife, Linda, of Waynesville; one sister, Dorothy Ramminger, of DeForest, Wisconsin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2003 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Art O'Neil officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum in Neenah, Wisconsin at a later date. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2003 prior to the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 804 Sonoma Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
