Harriet Jimison

"Beloved Wife, Mother & Grandmother" Canton – Harriet Killian Jimison, 74, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mattie Knight Killian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Edwards. Harriet was an excellent baker and always looked forward to Sunday lunch with her family. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden and tending to her orchids. Harriet was a beloved wife, mother, & grandmother whose heart belonged to her family. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles Jimison; two daughters, Pam Thomason and husband, Phillip and Kim Ray and husband, David, all of Canton; one brother, Robert Killian and wife, Darlene of Waynesville; three brothers-in-law, Verlin Edwards of Maggie Valley, Mark Jimison and wife, Susan, of Canton, and Stephen Jimison and wife, Net, of San Antonio, Texas; and two grandchildren, Whitney Thomason and Sean Meade. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Erma Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Old Thickety Cemetery.
