Hazel Forga

June 26, 1923 — June 4, 2005

Waynesville-Hazel Morgan Forga, age 81, of Gentry Drive, died on Saturday, June 04, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Jackson County but was a lifelong resident of Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Gather Morgan and Mattie Green Trantham. She is preceded in death by; her husband James Thomas Forga, who died in 2002; one daughter, Beatrice Burnette; one son, James David Forga and one half brother James Morgan. She retired from Wellco after 32 years of service. She enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and eating with friends and was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by; three daughters, Geraldine Smith of Canton, Ruth Bryson and her husband Ron, Joyce Cochran and her husband Jim, all of Waynesville; three sisters, Maggie Parker and Mary Buchanan, of Waynesville, and Sarah Broom, of Sylva, and one brother, Glenn Trantham, of Sylva; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and two special friends Hazel and Roy Crawford. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 06, 2005 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.
