Hazel Mann Holland, age 86, of the Hominy Community died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Daisy Robinson Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Holland, who died in 1992 and a son, Richard E. Holland, who died in 1996. She was a member of Plains United Methodist Church. She loved her family dearly, her cattle, her dog, and bird watching. She is survived by five grandchildren, Rhonda Anderson, Teresa Taylor, Alicia Putnam, John Holland, and Randy Holland all of Canton; two sisters, Maxine Kinsland of Canton and Betty Joy of Jacksonville, Fl; seven great-grandchildren, Jonathan Jackson, Brandon Worley, Levi and Caroline Holland, Garrett and Lindsay Holland, and Zachary Taylor; and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Parker Holland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Donnie Henson and Reverend Kelley Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Plains United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Randy Holland, 170 Big Oak Drive, Canton.
