Hazel Lance

Hazel Hardin Lance, age 74, died Friday, April 6, 2007, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Chapman Hardin. She was previously employed at Haywood County Hospital with 20 years of service as a nursing assistant. Hazel was also a member of Church of God Prophesy. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clyde Lance; a daughter, Denise Marie Lance of Canton; a son, Randy Lance and his wife, Debra, of Canton; a sister, Hilda Jenkins, of Waynesville; 4 grandchildren, Aubree Nichole Lance, Randy Lee Downs, Clifford Lowell Hardy Lance, and Kathreen Moody and 4 great-grandchildren, Martin Lance, Clyde Austin Ray Lance, Opal Henson and Eddie Dale Moody. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Randy Lance officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brad Jones, Clifford Lance, William Summey, Kevin Cooley II, Lonnie Lloyd and Stacy Campbell.
