Hazel Mills

Hazel Young Hicks Mills, 85, departed this world on July 15, 2010 after a brief illness. She was a daughter of the late James and Eulalee Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Terry Mills.

Hazel was a beloved mother and sister and the devoted wife of a naval veteran. She had a successful career in real estate and will be missed by family and all that knew 'the smile of the lady from Charleston'.

Survivors include her four children, Larry Young Mills and wife Frances of Asheboro, Robert Allen and Terri Lynn Mills, both of Asheville, Howard Wesley Mills of NC, five grandchildren, six brothers and sisters, Margaret Amey of Baltimore, MD, Delores Manning of Charleston, SC, Jack Hicks of Columbia, SC, Marion Widner of Chapin, SC, Marie Inabinette of James Island, SC, Charles Hicks of Lake Lure, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2PM on Monday in the Chapel of Faith at Forest Lawn with the Pastor Gerald Davis officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel an hour prior to the service.
