Helen Allison

August 27, 1938 — January 26, 2013

Waynesville, Helen Elizabeth Allison, age 74, of the Cove Creek Community, passed away on Saturday at MedWest Haywood. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Benjamin and Edna K. Conard Allison and was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Allison Hahn. She was a former employee of Wellco where she worked as an inspector. She cherished and loved her family dearly and was a member of Cove Creek Baptist Church. Helen will be remembered for her positive outlook on life. She is survived by two sisters, Geneva Allison Stevenson and her husband, Floyd, and Scarlette Allison Heatherly and her husband, Randy, all of Waynesville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Rogers and Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brian Center Activities Fund, 516 Wall Street, Waynesville, NC 28786
