Helen Parker

"1926-2016" Canton – Helen Estella Reynolds Parker, age 89, passed away on August 8, 2016 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late James Mally and Lelia Clark Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lee Parker, who died in 2004. Helen was a member of Rocky Face Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Parker West; Mary Martha Paxton and husband, Charles David; a son Rickey Lee Parker and wife, Amanda all of Canton; a sister, Betty Katherine Craige of Canton; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Rocky Face Baptist Church with the Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow at New Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to Haywood Health Care Foundation (Hospice in memo line of check to apply funds to Hospice) c/o The Homestead 127 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
