Helen Price

HELEN P. PRICE Waynesville-Helen Patricia Price, age 54, of 462 Green Valley Road, died Sunday, April 25, 2004 at her residence after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. She was native of Haywood County and was the daughter of William Edward and Eula Mae Wyatt Farley. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sharon Elaine Price; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. Wyatt; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ferman L. Farley. She was employed by Ken Wilson Ford as a computer systems administrator for 19 years. She enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping and was a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joe D. Price; a daughter, Krissy Price, of the home; a son, Joel Price and his wife, Keri, of Waynesville; a sister, JoAnn Messer and her husband, Bobby, of Clyde; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend Darrell Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Waynesville, and at other times, the family will be at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard and Farley Woodard, Danny and Scotty Mann, Bob Clampitt, Doug Sisk, and Allen Setzer. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and sister and was also loved by all those who knew her. Helen will always be in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
