Helen White

February 20, 1929 — January 26, 2004

Waynesville-Helen Marie White, age 74, of Liberty Church Road, died Monday, January 26, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rhoda Price Palmer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh White, who died in 1988. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and traveling. She was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Cambre, and her husband, David, of Atlanta, Georgia; four sons, Everett White and his wife, Pam, of Seattle, Washington, Ed White and his wife Kathy of Raleigh, Gene White and his wife, Annalisa, of Clyde, and Gary White and his wife, Rhonda, of Waynesville; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2004 at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Ted Reeves and Reverend Jerry Nelson, and Reverend Jarvis Teague officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28 at the funeral home, and at other times, at the home of Gary White, 334 Crawford Road in Waynesville. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the services. Serving as pallbearers will be sons, son-in-law, and grandson.
