Henrietta Davis

Waynesville, Henrietta P. Davis, age 94, died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Viv and Marietta Ray Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Boone Davis who died in 1979, a daughter, Wanda Davis, five sisters and four brothers. She worked at Dayco as Personnel Manager and retired from Haywood County Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician. She was a member of Barberville Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She is survived by a son, Bill Davis of Waynesville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Holland and Reverend G.W. Jameson officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Hightower, Doyce Stephens, J.C. Ledford, Harrison Rathbone, Joe Conard, and Dwight Caldwell. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barberville Baptist Church, 1441 Russ Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786.
