Hettie Frady

Waynesville, Hettie Jones Frady, age 85, of Allens Creek Road, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Autumn Care. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge and Oberia Buchanan Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Jones, and two brothers, Harley and Julius Jones. She was a retired employee of the Wellco Corporation. Hettie was a member of Grandview Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She loved to cook and bake for others. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph L. "J.L." Frady, Jr.; three sisters, Lucille Norman, Nettie Norman (twin sister), and Jessie Davis and her husband, Guy, and one brother, Cecil Jones, all of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Grandview Baptist Church with Reverend Davis Hooper and Reverend Tony Sisk officiating. Burial will follow at Buchanan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, Mike and Bruce Norman, Jerry Pace, Dick Chambers, and Larry Rathbone. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Grandview Baptist Church, 1562 Allens Creek Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
