Hilda Hill

Hilda Cagle Hill, age 84, of Pearl Street died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Gudger and Arlene Caldwell Cagle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen D. Hill, who died in 1990; two brothers, Carroll and Gene Cagle and a sister, Eula Ledford. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill loved gardening. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Greene of Canton; two sons, Roger Hill and his wife, Roberta, and Keith Hill and his wife, Sue, all of Canton; a sister, Lorna Fisher and her husband, Max, of Canton; a brother, Gudger Cagle and his wife, Nancy, of Canton as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Cayton officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Newfound Road. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her daughter, Shirley Greene. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center, P. O.
