Hilda Young

Hilda Ward Young, 91, of Candler, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born in Madison County to the late Elbert and Annie Crowder Ward. She had worked at American Enka and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she loved looking after the children in the nursery. She also volunteered with the American Red Cross.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Carl Young; daughter, Donna Maxine Brown; siblings, Loree Ward Davis, Wendall and Warren C. Ward.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Young, Janice (Lynn) Young Farmer, and Sonya Young; brother, Robert Ward; and grandchildren, Charlie R. Farmer, Andrew L. Farmer, and Baylee Young.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, September 2nd in the Chapel of Faith, Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler.
