Howard C. Frisbee, 81, a beloved member of the community, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Care Partners Hospice Solace Center in Asheville. He was born on March 2, 1943, in Madison County to the late Samuel and Dovie Clubb Frisbee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Frisbee and sister Lilly Frisbee Payne.
Howard is known for his dedication to his work; he owned and operated his own construction company with passion and skill. Those who knew Howard will always remember him for his love for his family, friends, and church. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In his time, Howard enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching NASCAR races. Although he may no longer be with us physically, Howard's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nola Hall Frisbee, his sons David Frisbee (Traci) of Candler and Daryl Frisbee (Stephanie) of Candler; as well as his grandchildren Matthew David Frisbee, Morgan Delany Frisbee, Savannah Rae Frisbee. His sister Josephine Sluder of Alexander; brothers Carl Frisbee, Ervin Frisbee, Charles Frisbee and Sandford Frisbee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Wells Chapel of Faith in Candler with Reverend Bryan Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., prior to the service. The burial will follow the service Thursday, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
