Imajean "Jean" Lindsey DiBlasio, age 82, died Saturday, November 08, 2008 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Jasper Garfield and Mary Graves Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her husband, John DiBlasio, who died in 1998; three sisters, Thelma Justice, Ruby Snyder, and Amanda James; two brothers, Howard and Lawrence Lindsey; and one grandson, Frank DiBlasio. Jean was a graduate of the Spring Creek High School and was employed for 20 years by the Hillsborough County Schools in Florida as the lunchroom manager. She is survived by three sons, Gary DiBlasio of Swampscott, MA, John DiBlasio of Parsons, TN, and Lawrence DiBlasio of Waynesville; two brothers, Garfield Lindsey of Marshal, and Edward Lindsey of Candler; two sisters, Inez Kimbal of Mills River, and Louise Minton of Tampa, FL; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Haywood County Adult Aging Day Care Program, 205 Hazelwood Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786.
