Clyde, Mary Ina Ledford Moore Franklin Martin, age 98, died on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Minnie McElrath Ledford. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Lee Moore, second husband, Alvin Franklin, and third husband, William "Bill" Martin; a son, Sammy Moore; step-daughter, Pauline Cashwell; stepsons, William and Fred Moore; four grandchildren; three brothers, Fletcher, Walter, and Earnest Ledford; and three sisters, Mae Rathbone, Lela Ledford and Nellie Moore. Ina loved reading her Bible, crocheting, and working in her garden. Ina had participated in NC senior games for over 30 years and volunteered at the Salvation Army. She attended East Waynesville Baptist Church. She is survived by her stepmother, Fannie Rathbone Ledford of Canton; five sons, George Moore of Winston Salem, NC, David and his wife, Mildred, of Clyde, Andrew, and his wife, Connie, of Alexander, NC, Charles and his wife, Rhonda, of Clyde and Kenneth and his wife, Laura, of Mill Spring, NC; three stepsons, Junior Moore and his wife, Rosie, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, Jessie Moore and his wife, Margaret, of Waynesville, and T.L. Moore and his wife, Pauline, of Statesville, NC; six daughters, Mary Speagle and her husband, Clayton, of Morganton, NC, Bessie Payne of Clyde, Ruth Messer and her husband, Lowell, of Dallas, NC, Patsy Weaver of Waynesville, Ethel Moore of Clyde, and Arlene Price and her husband, Charlie, of Waynesville ; stepdaughter, Grace Waters, of Trenton, Michigan; two brothers, Earl Ledford and his wife, Nancy, of Monticello, Georgia and Milas Ledford and his wife, Elizabeth, of Clyde; three sisters, Alma Moore of Denton, NC, Bonnie Henson of Canton and Martha Massey of Clyde; 56 grandchildren and more than 100 great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Josh Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the funeral home.
