Inez Henson

Inez Cogburn Henson, age 93, died on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Silver Bluff Nursing Homes. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Lillie Funk Cogburn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Nelson Henson, who died in 1970; a grandson, Mac Henson; a great-granddaughter, Savannah Williams; and a sister, Lucille Heatherly. Inez, first and foremost loved her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and canning. She was a life-long member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter; Mary Ann Blazer and her husband, Gene, of Killen, AL; two sons, Wayne Henson and his wife, Barbara, of Canton and Carroll Henson and his wife, Jessie, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Thelma Surrett of Canton; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Brad Joyner officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
