Irene Gasperson

Irene Elizabeth Burnette Gasperson, age 62, of 483 Pleasant Hill Road, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lived most of her life in Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Dewey and Femmie Burnette. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lynn Harding Gasperson, who died in 1992. Irene was a former employee of American Enka and Eaton Cutler Hammer Corporation. She is survived by a daughter, Catalina Ann Cruz, of West Palm Beach, FL; three sons, Patrick Ray Cruz, of Deerfield Beach, FL, Kelly Renee Burnette of Canton and Timmy Duane Gasperson of Candler; two sisters, Barbara Bright of Clyde and Margaret Thomas of Sylva; a brother, Fain Burnette of Tignall, GA; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007, at the Chapel of Wells Funeral Home of Canton with the Reverend Ted Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
