Irene Ledford

Clyde-Irene Rash Ledford, age 74, of 110 Saturn Court, Clyde, NC 28721 died on Thursday, May 4, 2006. A native and life-long resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Frank and Nettie Jane Franklin Rash and was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Fat" Ledford, who died in 1998, and a sister, Shirley Young. She was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, LaDonna Chapman and husband, Tony, of Shelby, NC; a son, Clarence Eugene "Gene" Ledford of Clyde; two sisters, Ellen Wyatt and husband, Walter, and Juanita Rash, all of Waynesville; two brothers, Clarence "Bill" Rash and wife, Delores, also of Waynesville and Sonley Rash and his wife, Minnie of Clyde; and two grandchildren, Keisha Gardner and Jack Ledford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gene King officiating. Burial will follow at Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 prior to service.
