Irene Wyatt

Waynesville, Irene Wyatt, age 63, died on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late William Authur and Letha Melita Buchanan Wyatt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Bobbie Wyatt, and a great nephew, Zachary Alan Gibbs. She was employed by Silco for seventeen years. Irene was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church and was a prayer warrior for all she knew and did not know. She is survived by three sisters, a twin sister, Kat Wyatt, of Waynesville, Phyllis Wyatt Gibbs and her husband, Phillip, also of Waynesville and Sharon Wyatt Devlin and her husband, Ronnie, of Pleasant Shade, TN; one brother, Gary Dean Wyatt and his wife, Jean, of Monrovia, CA; eight nieces and nephews, Ron Wyatt and Tina of Wellington, New Zealand, Russell Wyatt and René Wyatt, both of Las Vegas, NV, Jamey Gibbs and his wife, Ginny of Waynesville, Joey Gibbs and his wife, Christi, of Candler, Jon "Hoppy" Gibbs and his wife, Elen of Clairmont, NC, Dave Devlin and his wife, Amy, of Horseshoe, NC, Amy Layman of Pleasant Shade, TN; and fourteen great nieces and nephews, Josh and Tara Gibbs, Brittney, Hannah, and Jonah Gibbs, Gracie Tyler Gibbs, Vaughn Pinson, Austin and Cameron Devlin, Rachael and Shelbie Layman, Amber and Riley Wyatt, and Adam Wyatt. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Chan Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
