Isabella Wall

Clyde, Isabella Wall, age 90, of Merry Way, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Haywood Lodge & Retirement Center. A native of Port Glasgow, Scotland, she had resided in Haywood County for the past five years. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Isabella Blakeley Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wall, who died in 1973; a sister; and a brother. Isabella was employed as a Clerical assistant for the British Embassy and served the British Navy as a Casualty officer. She enjoyed Bingo and working puzzles. She is survived by two daughters, Bell Stewart of Clyde and June Duren and her husband, Steve, of Mineral, Virginia; three grandchildren, George Stewart, Lance King and Heather Barnes; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville with Reverend John P. Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Waynesville Building Fund, 305 North Main Street, Waynesville, NC 28786.
