Jaby Hargrove

Waynesville, Jaby Lance "Lanny" Hargrove, 56, of Westwood Circle, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Jack and Nina Myers Hargrove. He was preceded in death by grandparent, Luther and Faye Myers and Charlie and Iva Hargrove. Lanny was a 1977 graduate of Tuscola High School where he played on the football team and was a welder and carpenter by trade. In addition to his parents, Lanny is survived by two sisters, Rhonda White and husband, Gary and Cherri Inman and husband, Matt; four nieces, Marissa and Makayela Inman, Cassie White and Seslie Higgins and husband, Kevin; two great-nephews, Gavin and Garrett Higgins; one uncle, Ronnie Myers; two aunts, Mary Fisher and husband, George and Jean Ritch and husband, Ray. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17 at Sulphur Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Putnam officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Cousins will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 931, Waynesville, NC.
