Waynesville-Jack Paul Cagle, age 84, of 519 Camelot Drive, died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home.
He was a native of Haywood County and was the son of the late Glen and Lou Grasty Cagle. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Creasman Cagle, and by his second wife, Addie Constance Cagle; a son, Shane Cagle; two sisters, Helen Troutman and Wilma Dillard; and two brothers, Amos and Gilmer Cagle.
He was a self employed plumber. He attended Hyatt Creek Freewill Baptist Church and Rocky Branch Baptist Church. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and a member of the NRA, enjoyed watching sports, and loved fishing and hunting.
He is survived by three daughters, Jackie Hellwig and her husband, Robert of Ocala, Florida, Marty Bryson and her husband, Russell of Clyde, and Shannon Davis and her husband, Ross of Canton; one son, Paul J. Cagle of Waynesville; one sister, Frances Scruggs of Waynesville; one brother, Lloyd Cagle of Massachusetts; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes. Reverend Mark Atkinson and Reverend James Mills will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
The pallbearers will be Randy, Cameron, and Jeremy Bolden, Kerwin Cagle, Ross Davis, and Tracy Bucci.
