Jack Green

Jack Vance Green, Sr., age 72, passed in peace on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Oaks of Brevard. Jack is the son of the late Furman and Pearl Brown Green, and also preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and Grover Green. He was a truck driver and a member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed gardening, keeping a perfect lawn, and antiquing with Barbara. His most precious treasures in life where his beautiful grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as Pop-Pop. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara A. Green; two sons, Jack Green, Jr. and his wife, Terri, of Bethel and Keith Green of Clyde; two sisters, Jane Fuse and her husband, Richard, of Pennsylvania and Elsie Seeney of New Jersey; a brother, Henry Green and his wife, Joyce, of Bethel; and three grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, and Joshua Green. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend Randy Clour officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fines Creek Baptist Church General Fund at 1128 Max Patch Road, Clyde NC 28721.
