Jack Medford Clyde- Jack Lindsay Medford, age 88, of Woodlawn Circle died Monday, February 16, 2009 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. Jack was a native of Haywood County and the son of the late Jerry and Rosa Lindsay Medford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Broyles Medford who died in 2008; a son-in-law Tom Mason who died in 1995; two sisters, Willie Leatherwood and Louise Hannah and three brothers, Wayne, Roy and Gene Medford. Jack was a United States Marine Air Corps WWII Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater. He was co-owner of Medford Farm Florist, a teacher with the Haywood County School System and a Charter member of Clyde Lions Club. He was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lindsey, and her husband, Carrol of Clyde and Gail Mason of Clyde; one son, Randy Medford, and his wife, Janice of Raleigh, NC; seven grandchildren, Bruce Lindsey of Belmont, NC, Brent Lindsey, and his wife, Jenny, of Waynesville, Brad Lindsey, and his wife, Stacy of Clyde, Teresa Cook, and her husband, Scott of Waynesville, Tommy Mason, and his wife, Melanie, of Clyde, Jerry Medford, and his fiancée, Joanne Lennert, of Raleigh, NC and Cynthia Lewallen, and her husband, Wayne, of Grayson, GA and seven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Clyde First Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. T. David Phillips and the Reverend James Parham officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton and at other times at the residence.
