Jackie Deaver

Clyde, Jackie Chicoine Deaver, age 31, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at MedWest Haywood. A native of Los Alamos, New Mexico, she had resided in Haywood County for the past four years. Jackie enjoyed security and law enforcement and worked for Lankford Protective Services and the Haywood County Sheriff's Office. She was a member of Faith Community Church. She is survived by her husband, Aaron Deaver; father and stepmom, John Chicoine, Jr. and Jan; mother and stepdad, Fran and Ed Martin; one brother, John "Scrub" Chicoine, III; two step-sisters, Sara Pacheco and Erin Medina; one step-brother, Scott Martin; father-in-law and his wife, Edwin and Kathy Deaver; mother-in-law, Pamela Deaver; paternal grandparents, John Chicoine, Sr. and Jackie; and maternal grandmother, Mary Baird. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Louis Lamar Baird, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Shackford Hall at Lake Junaluska with Reverend Matt Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at Shackford Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haywood County Sheriff's Office, 1620 Brown Avenue, Waynesville, NC 28786. Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
