Jackie Smith

Jackie Sue Smith, age 40, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of Roena Mathis Smith of Waynesville and the late Jack Smith who died in 1984. She was employed with Roses and was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed watching them play. She loved her dog, Pugsley. She loved life and everyone around her. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Brenda Ingle of Candler, Cathy Merritt of Waynesville and Lynn Frazier of Canton; three nephews, Jeff Ingle and his wife, Tonia and Greg Ingle all of Candler and Colby Frazier of Waynesville; a great niece, Sarah Ingle and a great nephew, Jaxon Ingle and two special friends, Sherry Mashburn of Waynesville and Kim Carver of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with the Reverend Carl Presnell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 43 Edwards Street. The family would like to thank the Asheville Kidney Center and Dr. Elmore for all they have done over the years.
