Jackie Terrell

Canton, GA - Jackie Eugenia Loyless Terrell, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her home in Canton, Georgia. Mrs. Terrell was born January 10, 1938 to the late Julian Loyless and Freddie Loyless Whitcomb. She went to nursing school at Georgia Baptist and was a registered nurse. She retired from Haywood County Hospital's OBGYN Department. Jackie was a military wife moving and making a home for her family across the US and Europe for 30 years. She was a member of Longs Chapel United Methodist Church of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and two sisters, were her husband, Luke L. Terrell; a son, Marc W. Terrell; and a daughter, Melanie L. Smith. She leaves behind her son, Matthew Terrell and wife, Harriet, of Canton, Georgia; granddaughters, Charity Terrell Gilliam and her husband, Frank, and Sarah J. Terrell; grandson, Cristopher Smith; great-grandchildren, Brady and Reese Gilliam; one sister, Net Thomas of Dothan, Alabama; and a brother-in-law, Joe Terrell and his wife, Frieda, of Clyde, North Carolina. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Longs Chapel United Methodist Church with Dr. Charles Wilson, II officiating. Burial will follow at Fincher's Chapel Cemetery in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
