Waynesville, Jacob Tyler Corn, age 26, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of John and Janice Moore Corn of Waynesville. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Lee Moore and paternal grandparents, Hubert and Vivian Corn. He played Youth League baseball, soccer, and basketball and was a member of Waynesville Middle School Wrestling and Golf Team. A 2004 graduate of Tuscola High School, he later attended Appalachian State University, and was currently attending Haywood Community College. While working toward his degree in physical therapy, he was employed as a cabinet maker at Mountaineer Cabinetry. He enjoyed weight lifting, personal training, music, cooking, skiing, golfing, reading, the Spanish language and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Drew Corn and his fiancée, Kelly Nassis, both of Waynesville and maternal grandmother, Wilda Moore, of Clyde. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to services at the funeral home.
