Jacqueline Haynes

Waynesville, Jacqueline "Jackie" Haynes, 81 of Waynesville, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on November 22nd. She was born to the late Hilliard D. and Rosa L. Moody on May 9th, 1929. Jackie was a life-long resident of Haywood County. She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Gerald E. Haynes, Sr; son, Gerald "Jerry" Haynes, Jr.; and sister, Kathleen "Kitty" Moody Dover. She will be remembered as a nurturing mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jackie was always standing ready to be of help to anyone. Being an avid lover of flowers, Jackie planted her love each Spring and Summer. She is survived by her daughter, Sherrye Haynes Rhodes of Waynesville; son, Edwin "Eddie" M Haynes and wife Karen of Tucson, AZ; and sister Roberta M Haynes of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Nikki Rich and husband Jeremiah of Maggie Valley, Ryan Rhodes and wife Meredith of Chapel Hill, Michelle Osborn and husband Lance and Melissa Fry and husband Frank all of Tucson, AZ; and four great-grandchildren, Mckinley Rich, Murphy Osborne and Taylor and Tori Fry. Donations in remembrance of Jackie may be made to HRMC Hospice. Funeral services will take place Saturday, November 27th at 7pm at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Family visitation will precede the service starting at 6 pm.
