Jacqueline Robinson

"Jackie" Robinson, age 85, of 28 Garrett Drive died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Memorial Mission Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late W. T. and Maude Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Robinson who died in 1996 and a sister, Thomasine Scarboro who died earlier this year in May. She retired from Square D with 17 years of service and was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church. Her life was filled with the love of being a mother and grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Sarah Frizzell of Canton; two sons, Bill Robinson and his wife, Brenda, and Doug Robinson and his wife, Patricia, with whom she made her home, all of Canton; two sisters, Charlotte Boone and her husband, Bill, of Canton, and Barbara Jean Leary and her husband, Russell, of Ocala, FL; a brother, Buddy Clark and his wife, Gail, of Sulphur Springs, FL; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of her son, Doug Robinson, 28 Garrett Drive in the Beaverdam community.
