Waynesville, Jacquelyn Ringler Davis died on Friday, November 6th, 2015 at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1927 in Cumberland, Maryland. "Jackie" was preceded in death by her mother, Reba Driscoll Ringler McKee her sister, Carlyn Lakin, and her brother, Donald H. Ringler. She was married to James E. Davis who died in 1986. They were married 39 years. She lived in Bridgeton, New Jersey for 28 years and moved to Waynesville in 1992. Jackie is survived by her two beloved children: Tracey Davis Redding (Paul) of Ocean City, Maryland and Dr. Todd Driscoll Davis of Sylva, North Carolina. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, LuAnn Simone Davis. She was a fun and loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Chelsea Davis, Tyler Davis, Matthew (Allison) Davis, Sommer Davis, and Justin Redding. She was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Cumberland, Maryland and Catherman's Business School. Over the years, Jackie has worked at Celanese Corp. in Cumberland, Owens-Illinois in Bridgeton, and Farmer's Home Administration in Bridgeton. Jackie was a faithful member of Long's Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved working at the Open Door, studying her Bible, working crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy! A Celebration of Life service will be held at Long's Chapel on Saturday, November 14th at 3:00 pm with Revs. Tim McConnell & Edward Brouwer leading. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to the Open Door Ministry at Long's Chapel.
