James Beasley

Waynesville, James William "Bill" Beasley, age 73, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 to be in the arms of his loving wife in Heaven. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Douglas and Nancy Elizabeth Justice Beasley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Smith Beasley, who died in 2009 and a son, James Roger Beasley. Bill was employed with Haywood County as a truck driver for more than 20 years. Bill enjoyed the outdoors and spending time in nature and had a special love for his cat, Misty Angel. He also liked traveling to Dollywood and when the Christmas season came along, he enjoyed finding beautiful Christmas lights and decorating for the holidays. Bill is survived by a son, Terry Wayne Beasley and his wife, Vickie, of Clyde; a step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Thomas, of Kingsport, Tennessee; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Caldwell and Reverend Jason Ledford officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
