James Clark

"1951 – 2015" Canton – James Edward "Bobcat" Clark, age 63, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Charles George VA Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Jule Clark and Arline Sharp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Sharp. James was someone who never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting new people. He always had a great sense of humor placing a smile on faces. James enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. He is survived by one son, Evander Thomas of Spartanburg, South Carolina; seven sisters, Belinda Winston of Canton, Elaine Clarke of Worcester, Massachusetts, Marie Love of Maimi, Florida, LaVerne Sharp of Canton, Charlene Landrum of South Carolina, Angelia Greenwood of Charlotte, and Tawny Jones; two brothers, Julius Greenwood of Waynesville, and Samuel Riley of Canton; special friend, Tony Coleman; one aunt, Elizabeth Fretwell; two nieces, Kelly Sharp and Kendra Forney; and four great-nieces. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Cleveland Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. prior to the service.
