James Fryer, Jr.

Waynesville-James ''Jimmy'' Roger Fryer, Jr., age 31, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.

A native of Miami, FL, he had resided in Haywood County since 1993. He was employed by HVO. Jimmy was a fan of Elvis Pressley, the Miami Dolphins, and the Miami Hurricanes. He was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his mother, Pamela Elder and her husband, Norton of Lake Lure; his father, James Roger Fryer, Sr. of Orlando, FL; two step sisters, Dori Blackburn of Wilmington, NC and Kathie Bianconi of Stratham, NH; aunts and uncles, Tony and Sandra Clinger of Tampa, FL, Richard and Judy Fryer of Orlando, FL Mrs. Debbie Douglas of Gainesville, FL, and John and Carol Fryer of Jacksonville, FL, Dave and Barbara Fryer Jordan of Orlando, FL.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremations with Father Frank Doyle and Reverend Everett Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the services.
